This opens the Table AutoFormat dialog box. From the Format list, select a format for your table. In the Preview window you can see how your selection will look when applied to your table. WORKING WITH MULTIPLE WORD 2000 DOCUMENTS

Sometimes you need to work with more than one Word 2000 document at a time. For example, you might want to compare the contents of several different documents. Or perhaps you need to move or copy text from one document to another. To view two documents at the same time, run Word and open the documents (choose File (Open). Now select Window Arrange All. Both of the open documents will appear in the Word window. You can now compare, move, or copy text between the two documents. When you're finished with one of the documents, choose File Close to close only the active document. To set the remaining document to full screen view, click the Maximize button. You can open more than two documents simultaneously, but it becomes very difficult to work with more than three or four because of screen size limitations.

ADD A WATERMARKW

Atermarks are not only for money and fancy bonded stationary; there are times when you might like to use a watermark in some of your Word 2000 documents.Let's imagine that you want to make sure that everyone knows a specific document is a first draft. You could add a 'First Draft' watermark diagonally across the pages of the document.
To do this, run Word 2000 and choose View Header and Footer to open the Header and Footer dialog box. Next, choose Insert Picture Word Art. When the WordArt Gallery opens, select one of the single color styles and click OK to close the WordArt Gallery and open the Edit WordArt Text dialog box. Type in FIRST DRAFT and click OK. At this point, the floating WordArt toolbar appears on your screen. In the WordArt toolbar, click the Format WordArt button. When the dialog box opens, click the Colors and Lines tab. Under Line, click the arrow at the right side of the Color list box and select none. Now, select the 'Semitransparent' check box and click OK to close the dialog box and apply your watermark.Note: the 'Semitransparent' check box is active only when your WordArt is a single color.
